Where can I set my preferred language in Confluence?

Set your preferred language in your user settings.

Note: This is only possible for users with a Confluence log-in. Anonymous users (without a log-in) will only see page content based on their browser's language setting.

This is done as follows:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner. Choose "Settings".

  2. Click the "Edit" button.

  3. In the language dropdown, choose the language you would like to display your content in:

  4. Click the "Submit" button.

  5. Return to the page you were on before. This is easily done by clicking into the search field and selecting the first entry.
If this page has content in the language matching your preferred language, it will now be directly displayed to you.

Is "Automatically detect browser setting" supported?

Yes. If the user didn't set a preferred language or views the page anonymously, the app tries to use the browser's language or otherwise uses Confluence's default language.
