What are Viewers in Viewtracker Cloud Reports?

(info) A Viewer is an

  • individual user with a Confluence login or

  • all anonymous users combined

who have accessed a page.

On public-facing pages, e.g. public software documentation, views of all anonymous visitors (users without Confluence login) will be tracked and grouped under the user "Anonymous".

The Viewers list appears in all reports unless the Extended Privacy Mode is enabled.

Protected Confluence users will not be counted as Viewers.

Bear this in mind when using Viewtracker on public-facing pages, e.g. a public software documentation. The views of the anonymous viewers will be tracked under the user “Anonymous”.

For example, your page registers the following views:

  • 6 individual users

  • 20 anonymous users

  • 2 Protected Confluence Users

In this case, you will see an amount of 7 Viewers in the report.
